Dublin City Council has recently unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing community safety and promoting sports accessibility throughout the city.
Community Safety Survey
The five Dublin City Local Community Safety Partnerships (LCSPs) have launched an online survey to gather public feedback on community safety issues. This survey offers residents, businesses, and community organizations an opportunity to voice their concerns and suggestions, directly influencing the development of Community Safety Plans tailored to local needs. The survey is open until 5 August 2026. For more information, visit the Dublin City Council’s official website.
Sport EQUIP Hub Initiative
In collaboration with the Kansas City Chiefs, Dublin City Council has introduced the Sport EQUIP Hub in 20 city parks. This initiative aims to make sports more accessible and introduce Dubliners to American football. The partnership reflects a commitment to diversifying sports opportunities and encouraging active lifestyles among residents.
Upcoming Events
As part of the city’s cultural offerings, ‘Dublin City Council Ceol Country’ is set to take place in Merrion Square Park on 29 and 30 August. The event will feature live country music, dancing, and family-friendly activities, celebrating the city’s vibrant cultural scene.
These initiatives underscore Dublin City Council’s dedication to fostering a safer, more inclusive, and active community for all residents.
